Description
Dr Victor Morgan will lead an exploration of what was once known as “the holy valley” because of the large number of churches and religious houses there. The tour will include Narborough church, with its rich collection of brasses and monuments, the remains of the precinct of West Acre priory and its interesting church, and, if it is possible to arrange, the priory gatehouse at Pentney.
- This is a self driven visit. Please add a note to your booking if you will need, or can offer, a lift. We will put people in touch if we are able.
- The cost of tickets will cover a donation to all churches visited. There will be a lunch break at a pub offering food, but you are equally welcome to bring along a picnic.
